In 1952 Mr. J. Lukose, a visionary entrepreneur based in Kottayam ventured into block making industry in the name Kerala Processing studio. Kerala processing studio later known as SOUTHERN STUDIOS were the official block making contractors for M/s Malayala Manorama. Due to his initiative and drive Southern Studios have become the leading block makers in Kerala. Two years later he spread his services to Calicut exclusively for Malayala Manorama and after five years to Ernakulam which was later shifted to Alleppey.
